Located on Charles Street is an adorable cupcake shop, Charm City Cupcakes.  They serve a variety of flavors such as caramel praline, vanilla, chocolate cherry, red velvet, and ghirardelli.  Sandra, the lovely and very helpful employee, assisted me in my choices!  I ordered the caramel praline first, but she insisted on trying the ghrirardelli and red velvet as well!  The more the merrier!  All the cupcakes had delicious, thick buttercream icing.  I really enjoyed it because it wasn’t overly sugary, just rich and buttery!  They each had a topping as well.  The caramel praline had a mound of sticky pecans and caramel drizzel, yummy!  The red velvet had two chocolate chips that added a nice crunch against the SUPER moist cake!  The ghriradelli had chopped pecans and a ghriradelli chocolate swirl.  My favorite cupcake at Charm City was the red velvet.  It was so moist and fluffy, it tasted like it was right out of the oven.  With the thick cream cheese icing, it was absolutely perfect!  The chocolate cupcake was also very moist and surprised me with an intense chocolate flavor.  Adding the chocolate swirl and chopped pecans created more texture and flavors to this traditional cupcake.  Charm City also offers mini versions of their cupcakes which would be great to bring to a party or just to have for sampling all their different creations!  xoxo Blondie
