Yesterday, I attended a lovely party in Brooklyn with my girlfriends where we swapped clothes and looked at the jewelry line Stella&Dot. To my excitement, my friend Brittany of Brittlinco.com had picked up some cookies from One Girl Cookies. I was happy to try every one and what made it even better was that they were all bite-sized so I could without getting a stomach ache! They were so cute and delicious! My favorite of the bunch was the Penelope. A buttery cookie covered in chopped nuts with an apricot preserve filling. It was like tasting the freshest shortbread cookie you’ve ever had! While visiting the beautiful and famous Hotel Del Coronado, my sweet tooth needed some fulfilling. Walking around some adorable shops, I stumbled on this cute sweets shop called Spreckels. OMG I thought I had had the best at Extraordinary Desserts until I went back for one last time. I had the Cream Cheese Brownie and the Linzor Torte. WOW. First of all, this was the first time I’d actually sat down and had them serve me dessert. Both came out beautifully plated and WARM. When I took a bite of the brownie, chocolate oozed out from it just like a souffle. It was chewy and thick and oh so rich. The torte was thick layers of dough topped with vanilla icing and raspberry jam. It tasted like a fancy Toaster Streudel! If you go to Extraordinary Desserts, and I recommend you do, THESE are the ones you should choose! xoxoBrownie

Blue Smoke, the finger lickin’ amazing bbq restaurant in Gramercy and at Citifield, has opened a BAKE SHOP!!! They are serving their famous pies, cookies, and will have a different cupcake flavor every month! I can’t wait to check it out! I love their banana cream pie!! xoxoBlondie

Well, I have been waiting to write this review for a while, but I had to taste just the right desserts at Extraordinary Desserts. Of the many treats I tried, these two are my top picks. Located right by my apartment here in San Diego, this adorable dessert shop is definitely a must. They have a layout of stunning desserts unlike any I’ve seen! What I love about the restaurant is that it’s a sit-down place and has award worthy desserts you can accompany with a glass of vino, coffee, or tea.
