The Cookie Olympics!

The first ever Cookie Olympics was held at the International Culinary Center last week proving that Olympics aren’t just about sports.  Eleven teams competed to create a cookie for the petit four plate at the famed NYC restaurant L’Ecole.  These teams did not have an easy task as they were being judged by acclaimed pastry chefs Johnny Iuzzini (Top Chef Just Desserts), Christina Tosi (Momofuko), Dan Kluger (ABC Kitchen), Alan Richman, and Kierin Baldwin (The Dutch).  Impressing these heavy weights in the pastry world must have been a daunting task, but culinary student Bojena Linton took home first place and fan favorite with her inspired Dulcetto Bar cookie. These little bars are extremely addicting!  There is a Maldon sea salt topping that hits your tongue first then the soft caramel flavored cookie melts in your mouth. It’s simply irresistible!  Congratulations Bojena and her team for taking home the gold in the first ever Cookie Olympics!  Make sure to visit L’Ecole to try the Dolcetto Bar and support the culinary students at the International Culinary Center.  Check out the Facebook link for more info!
