Reader of the Week…Ann Johnson!
Congrats to Ann Johnson, our Reader of the Week! She’s from Columbus, Ohio (Go Bucks!). She’s a high school choir director and an Adjudicator for the Ohio Music Education Association. Music and sweets is a winning combo to us! Yay to an “in tune” JDNYC reader!
1. What is your favorite dessert and why?
I don’t have a favorite dessert but I have a weakness when it comes to cupcakes and ice cream, particularly Graeters Ice Cream. Actually the most amazing dessert I have had was the banana’s foster bread pudding at O’Hana restaurant at Disney’s Polynesian resort in Orlando. Gosh that was so good!!
2. What is your favorite dessert of your hometown?
Toss up between Graeters Icecream and the Tiramasu at Bravo restaurant.
3. If you met a magical dessert Genie what three wishes would you ask him to grant?
-Probably allow me to eat as much dessert as I wanted forever without worrying about it being bad for me.
-Bring me all of my favorite treats from NYC to Ohio.
-Grant me some artistic skills so I could decorate cakes and cupcakes better because I am terrible!
4. What is your favorite dessert in NYC?
Oh geez well….I really really love the pumpkin scones from Alice’s Teacup if that is considered a dessert? If not I really like the cinnamon raisin cookies from Levain bakery YUM!!
5. If you were a dessert what would you be?
Anything banana because several people used to call me and still call me Annie Banannie….
You can also be selected as our Reader of the Week! Send in a photo and answer these firstname.lastname@example.org! Happy dessert eating!
