Happy National Donut Day! Here’s our favorite donuts list!

WE LOVE DONUTS!  Whether you spell it formally or the shortened version, “donut,” everyone can agree they are a staple breakfast item in America.  “Donut” has been around since the 1800’s but wasn’t popularized until Dunkin’ Donuts made it ubiquitous.  We’ve tried many a donut in our dessert tasting days and are happy to give you a list of our favs.  Below are our top NYC joints and a few honorable mentions around the country. We celebrate in honor of the women who served doughnuts to soldiers during World War 1.  It was established by the Chicago Salvation Army in 1938 and is celebrated every year on the first Friday in June. Happy National Doughnut Day!
