The 85th Celebration of Rockettes in NYC!
Today was the last day of rehearsal before the Rockettes move to the famous stage at Radio City Music Hall. I will be kicking this year in the line of 36 girls which marks the 85th year of the Rockettes being here in NYC! To help celebrate, Michael Donaghy (MDConfections.com), the amazing assistant of our fabulous director/choreographer, Linda Haberman, made a cake! This cake had six different costumes from decades past. The show this year is featuring a costume retrospective beginning with the 1930′s. Michael is an incredible and talented baker. It was dense and rich chocolate cake with thick and creamy peanut butter icing. My favorite combination! I couldn’t get enough. The costumes were gingerbread cookies that were soft and full of spice. It’s a season not to be missed so get your tickets to the Radio City Christmas Spectacular at RadioCityChristmas.com or the Radio City Box Office. The show runs Nov. 9 – Dec. 30th and you may just see me in one of those beautiful costumes from the cake!
