The Cheshire Cat Confectionary
There’s a new cat in town! Lori Byars, our stage manager from our very first professional musical we performed in together, has opened The Cheshire Cat Confectionary in Chicago. She bakes the most adorable and delicious cookies, and they can be ordered online to be shipped anywhere. She sent us a sampler of “Gnaw on Gnomes.” Not only were they cute (we seemed to pick out Blondie and Brownie characters), they were extremely flavorful and perfectly baked! Our sampler was a selection of sugar and gingerbread iced cookies.
The sugar cookies were fantastic, chewy and fresh with flavor of butter and sugar melting in our mouths. A thin, sweet glaze was spread on top which hardened on each cookie. Her adorable decorations on each cookie just added to the temptation to grab another and another!
The gingerbread cookies were filled with all the delicious spices that makes us embrace Fall: molasses, ginger, nutmeg, and cinnamon! They were remarkably chewy, lingering in our mouths with each bite. These were also iced with the sweet hardened frosting that is simply irresistible! Lori doesn’t lack in presentation either! Our cookies came in a sassy wrapped box displaying colorful tissue paper when we opened them. Lori bakes with love and passion. Her cookies come in a variety of themes, shapes, and sizes so they would be the perfect gift to send for any occasion. Congratulations to Lori and The Chesire Cat Confectionary!
