Run to your grocery store!
Desserters! I’ve been enjoying this Breyers Blasts ice cream every night for the last week! Shhh….I know it’s kinda like I’m cheating on all the amazing gelato and ice cream shops right outside my door! I can’t help it though, this “blast” is out of control and I find myself waking up in the morning looking forward to my scoop of birthday cake at night! There are not a lot of choices at my Associated up in East Harlem, so when I saw Oreo Birthday Cake, I thought it definitely was my best option. I mean I do love Oreos AND birthday cake so it kinda was a no brainer! Oreo Birthday Blast consists of a cake flavored ice cream mixed with huge chunks of Oreo cookies and millions of rainbow sprinkles!! The cake base is pretty sweet, like vanilla cake batter actually, and super duper creamy! The Oreo chunks are so large that you get the yummy cream in each piece as well as the chocolate cookies. Rainbow sprinkles, an addition to any sundae of mine, are sprinkled throughout creating the “birthday” aesthetic. But, here’s the best part…for a half a cup scoop there is only 4 grams of fat and 130 calories!!! It’s not even made with Splenda, or slow-churned, or frozen yogurt! It’s the real deal ingredients, but without the loads of fat and calories. So in short, if you need an ice cream from your local grocery store try to find Breyers Blasts. It may now just be a staple in my freezer at home.
