Bread & Tulips
I was recently asked where to get the best chocolate mousse, and I realized I didn’t have many on my list! Well, I was delighted to see this dessert on the menu while recently dining at Bread & Tulips. I spoke with the owner and he said the restaurant’s name is Bread: the universal symbol of food and Tulips: a symbol of home and love. He loves both attributes describing his restaurant. I enjoyed the delicious “Chocolate & Hazelnut,” which was dark chocolate mousse and hazelnut gelato. Made with 74% Swiss dark chocolate, this thick, yet light mouse was rich and delectable. The bottom layer was a thin, chewy cookie consistency, and the main body was cool and creamy. The gelato was from Bindi, a famous Milan gelato maker that ships their products straight from Italy. Bread & Tulips really prides themselves on their ingredients, and the owner said they went through many trials with this particular dessert to find the ultimate in flavor and texture. Chocolate and hazelnut is a killer combination, but what made it different was the seperation of the two. You can enjoy the divine dark chocolate and then add as much hazelnut gelato as you please to the flavor. Let’s just say I ate the whole darn thing! On top of everything else, the food was incredible, making this a meal to remember. So, my chocolate mousse fans, here is my recommendation!
