Gourmet Dessert To-Go!
I was feeling like something sweet but worhtwhile to eat the other night and remembered my husband was eating dinner at Quality Meats. Amanda and I love their ice cream creations. You can get ice cream in a pint to go so I asked my hubby to bring a treat home. He surprised me with their Toasted Banana S’mores Ice Cream Cake. WOW. Thick graham cracker chunks were all throughout the center with vanilla ice cream. Toasted whipped cream puffs were exploding from the top, and it was garnished with bananas and a beautiful chocolate sliver. Since it endured the ride home it was soft and melting, which was a perfect texture. Surprisingly light, I had no problem eating the whole thing. The classic taste of S’mores plus bananas is an award winning combo. It actually reminded me of a toasted banana pudding. Who says you can’t have a gourmet dessert to-go?!
