Sweetie Pies
Summer is the time for fruit cobblers. So many wonderful fruits are in season and tasting so sweet, just like the peaches used in this cobbler from Sweetie Pies in St. Louis. This southern comfort restaurant was full of filling fried chicken, mac and cheese, and okra. At the end of the cafeteria-style line, there was a giant pan of peach cobbler. I knew this was the place to have some and boy was I right. This gooey and flakey delight was full of peach flavor and spices. Oh the spices! Sweetie Pies knows how to geniously use spices. The fruit to dough ratio was perfectly balanced, and I loved the crunchy top crust pieces mixed in. Mm Mm Mm Mm Mm good peach cobbler Sweetie Pies! Owner, Robbie Montgomery, is orignionally from Mississippi, and if you want more info on this great place, they have a reality show on Oprah’s OWN Network. I can definitely see why! Everything I tried was SO GOOD!
