I can’t resist rainbow sprinkles!

Kitchenette restaurant has loads of delicious sweets.  They bake up everything from pies to scones, all with that homemade taste that is hard to find outside of your own mother’s kitchen.  Everything about Kitchenette is inviting and homey.  If the food doesn’t win you over, the desserts will!  When I walked in and caught sight of this cake covered in rainbow sprinkles I felt like a little kid in a candy store.  I simply can’t resist something covered in rainbow sprinkles!  This two layer cake was simple, yet very sweet!  The thick vanilla buttercream icing lingered on the roof of my mouth and the very dense vanilla cake was moist and chewy.   The cake definitely had a heavier consistency than normal, it sort of reminded me of red velvet cake in that way.  Maybe there was a bit of buttermilk in the batter?  Each bite sort of melted into the next as the rainbow sprinkles kept crunching away.  I was in pure bliss!
