BeaverTail!
It’s never a trip to Canada until you have a BeaverTail or “Queues de Castor.” My first BeaverTail was in the French/English speaking city of Montreal. On a recent trip to Quebec City, I spotted the famous treat again! BeaverTails are fried whole wheat pizza dough topped with an array of sweets to choose from. They are SO CRAZY GOOD! The dough is soft and chewy since it’s made fresh in front of you. I topped mine with Nutella and bananas…a classic french combo in crepes. The nutty chocolate with banana was superb against the thick dough. I think they’re somewhat healthy since they’re made with whole wheat dough;-). President Obama recently had one as well on his visit to Ottawa! They made a special ObamaTail! Obviously, this dessert is a must!
