A Perfect French Breakfast
Le Petit Cochon Dingue, or “The Crazy Little Pig,” is a sweet cafe located along the St. Lawrence river in Quebec City. On my first morning while staying in the city, I went to get my croissant and cafe au lait for breakfast. The choices were plentiful, and I ended up with the classic croissant, chocolate croissant, and chocolate almond croissant….avec un cafe au lait. I love that they weren’t perfect looking, making me know an individual baker made them by hand. The flakey texture and butter was magnifique! The centers of each were soft and the edges had a slight crunch to them. The chocolate was rich and smooth. My sweet and salty taste buds were fulfilled. What a lovely morning to a day full of wandering around the oldest city in North America!
