Dessert Pizza at Pizza Roma

Dessert Pizza!  Those two words are alone some of my favorites in the English language and when they are put together my heart skips a beat!  Last night I was attending the happy hour pizza party at Pizza Roma, hosted by James Mulcahy from Zagat!  Even though it was 92 degrees outside and we were all melting on the backyard patio, the pizza and drinks were going down like popsicles!  The last pizza of the evening was by far my favorite.  It was a simple nutella filled pizza with a double crust that was covered in powered sugar.  Pizza Roma has their dough flown in from Italy, so you are guaranteed a true Italian experience.  The crust here reminded me of two thick crepes or pancakes, extremely chewy and soft.  My slice left me covered in powered sugar with nutella all over my hands and face, but I couldn’t have been happier.  I was now just as warm on the inside as I was on the outside.
