No-flour oatmeal cookie!
Found at the Cheese Shop in La Jolla, Ca, are these amazing no-flour oatmeal cookies that are pretty much to die for! I didn’t see them until I was checking out and couldn’t resist purchasing one along with my sandwich. Without the addition of flour, the cookies turn out to be extremely thin and chewy. The other ingredients must be sugar and butter because each bite was super sweet and pulled away like caramel. I loved the crispy outer edges and the buttery center. Apparently the recipe for the no-flour cookie was given to the owners back in 1960 by a woman named Hazel who lived next door. The Cheese Shop still uses the same recipe when they bake them today. I wouldn’t change a thing either, this cookie was just perfect!
