Lemons invading LA!

The Los Angeles chain, Lemonade, is known for, you guessed it, Lemonade.  Not just your normal Plain Jane flavor though, I ordered the Watermelon Rosemary Cucumber Mint Lemonade.  One sip had me a believer, and I’m sure my “ooh’s and ahh’s” converted all the other customers in the restaurant.  Beyond that, Lemonade sells cupcakes, cookies, cakes, puddings, and bars.  Not all of them are of their signature flavor, but “when in Rome…” I had to choose something lemon.  My little lemon cupcake was the perfect companion to my refreshing beverage.  It was chilled so the cake was a bit dense, very similar to a pound cake.  It had just a hint of lemon flavor which I liked.  The generous spread of buttercream was very light and whippy with a dollop of juicy lemon curd swirled right in the top.  I can’t wait to go back to Lemonade to try the lemon cookie, lemon bar, and lemon meringue pie.  It’s going to be a good summer!
