Chocolate Hazelnut Decadence
While on a recent ski trip to Park City, Utah, I dined at this well-known Italian restaurant, Grappa. I’m not a huge fan of desserts at Italian restaurants due to the usual lack of anything spectacular. Grappa has changed my mind! They had a Chocolate Hazelnut Decadence on their menu, which seemed so glamourous by the name. Creamy chocolate and hazelnut mousse, topped with candied hazelnuts, set on a cookie base, encased with dark chocolate bark, and served with blood oranges. The mousse was just cool enough to be soft and creamy, and had a richness that melted in my mouth. The cookie base was like a soft Oreo, and with the blood oranges mixed in, the flavors collided effortlessly. The choolate bark was fun to eat as well by picking it off the sides. Sometimes there is a diamond in the rough at Italian restaurants, Grappa’s diamond shines spectacularly!
