Cow and Crumb Cookies

One of our readers recommended we try these delicious cookies from Cow & Crumb in Cambridge, MA.  One morning this week, an entire box of each variety was delivered to my door, and I was so excited I had them for breakfast!  When I opened the box of multiple, beautfiul cookies, my eyes and mouth opened wide.  My reaction was similar to Cookie Monster in the clip below.

Yes, I was this excited!  And who wouldn’t be when you’re delivered a box of cookies in these flavors: Classic Chocolate Chip, Mint Chocolate Chip, Oatmeal Chocolate Covered Raisin, Peanut Butter Pretzel Heaven, Sugar Sugar, The Patriot, Sunrise Fruit & Nut, Spice Girl, C&C L’Orange, and Chocolate Monster! They were all wonderful, but the standouts to my palate were the Oatmeal Chocolate Covered Raisin, C&C L’Orange, and Classic Chocolate Chip.  The oatmeal was soft, chewy, and thick.  There’s something about chocolate with oatmeal that just tastes so good.  You can’t find that combo a lot, and I highly recommend Cow & Crumbs’ version.  I go weak for anything bready and orange.  The L’Orange was packed with cranberries, coconut, orange, and white chocolate.  That orange zest with the textures of the ingredients was amazing.  Again, a nice thick cookie that was soft and moist.  The chocolate chip was  substantial and the chocolate was evenly distributed.  Pop this one in the microwave for 15 seconds and you get that right-out-of-the-oven goodness.  I actually recommend you heat all the cookies for 15 seconds.  Nothing like a warm cookie with milk, or say, coffee if you’re having them for breakfast;-). I sent Amanda some of them, who is currently in Washington D.C., and she also loved the oatmeal as well as the Sugar Sugar.  Overall, the cookies were extremely fresh and exqiusitely packaged.  Hilary Koloski, Founder and Chief Baking Officer, has created a fantastic cookie business.  Perfect for any occasion or gifts or just to treat yourself.  One of their logos is “Ever Been Blissed?”  Well, yes, I just was thanks to Cow & Crumb.
