Flash, Bam, Alakazam, I love an orange colored roll!
Ok, there is a bakery in my hometown right across the street from my old dance studio. It’s called Schneider’s Bakery and they have these amazing orange rolls. You probably don’t think “orange roll” is very enticing, but let me tell you, these are a huge shock. They look like just a yeast roll with icing on top, which they are, but oh so much more. There’s an orange jelly-like glaze seeped in to the center. This is not an orange popsicle flavor, it’s more rich and sweet flavor. The orange icing is a perfect amount of sugar to top it all off. It’s the same consistency as a cinnamon roll icing. I could have eaten the entire box throughout my time in Ohio for the holidays. It’s a unique roll that you’d never imagine would be so good. I love finding something interesting that is so memorable. Every time I go to Ohio, I have to get an orange roll from Schneider’s Bakery, but that’s the catch, you Westerville, Ohio folks are lucky since you can only get them there. I love small hometown bakeries.
