Junior’s celebrates 60 years!
Junior’s restaurant celebrated their 60 year anniversary yesterday in a big way. Hundreds of fans waited in the cold to grab a taste of special edition chocolate dipped cheesecake, balloons, 60 cent slices, and a bake-off in the actual Junior’s kitchen! Three lucky contestants were selected from 500 to compete for a new cheesecake flavor to be sold at Junior’s. The top flavors chosen were Brooklyn Blackout, Moon Pie, and Joyful Almond. Susan Banfield was the winner for her Joyful Almond cheesecake. Along with an $1,800 cash prize, her flavor will be sold at the Flatbush location for a limited time. Junior’s said they sold over 5,000 slices of cheesecake yesterday. Congratulations to Junior’s restaurant for keeping New Yorkers happy these last 60 years! Let’s hope there are 6o more to come!
