Top Chef Just Desserts “Edible Fashion”
Tonight’s challenge on Top Chef Just Desserts was for the contestants to make an edible dress to match a pair of pumps they chose. Can you really ask for anything more than fashion and sweets together?! Being fashionistas ourselves, we couldn’t wait to see what the chefs came up with. Not only did they have to make dessert clothing, they had to make 2 petit fours to go along with the outfit. It amazed us how talented these chefs are and what they created. Morgan was the winner with a “Little Black Dress” he designed, inspired from a hot pair of red pumps. It was so impressive how he made circle cut-outs with chocolate to look like shiny sequins. His petit fours were a Spiced Raspberry “Ruby Ring” Bon Bon and a Red Hot Cinnamon Macaroon Earring. Amazing! You almost might not be able to guess that this dress was edible. The chocolate sequins even looked shiny! Heather H.’s dress looked like real material draped on the mannequin. It was as if she actually was using a brown flowy material, yet it was chocolate. Yigit had this crazy “Ice Princess” theme and his use of white chocolate pieces with a cinch at the waist (a very flattering style) was mind-blowing. Zac’s warrior woman look was “fierce.” He’s so creative and fun, and he said his dress was actually wearable. We were dying to see someone put it on! Can we PLEASE try it on ZAC??!! We were honestly blown away by these outfits and got double the fun with two of our favorite hobbies: shopping and dessert! Top Chef Just Desserts, BRAVO, Wed. 10/9c.
