Levain Bakery=PURE HEAVEN
Levain Bakery was one of the earlier posts we did years ago and that’s because we already knew they had the BEST cookies you will ever enjoy. I cannot even express how amazing these cookies are. I mean, I actually have dreams about them. They are that good. Fortunately, they’re NYC bakery is located near me. You can smell the sugary aroma as you walk by, and it just draws you in. You can’t fight it, you can only get closer and closer. There are four kinds: Chocolate Chip Walnut, Oatmeal Raisin, Dark Chocolate Chocolate Chip, and my usual favorite Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip. Today though, I couldn’t decide between the two chocolates, but when they told me the Dark Chocolate Chocolate Chip was warm, I knew I had to get that one. I broke the 6 oz cookie in half and it just oozed melty chocolate. The dough was moist and almost “half-baked.” You can see the inside slowly falling in the top right photo. It’s crisp on the outside and gooey heaven on the inside. This cookie ROCKS MY WORLD! I always tell people that it’s the only dessert I’ve tasted thus far that I have not once felt the calorie “guilt” we females tend to endure. I always eat the entire cookie, and when it’s this good, you feel guilty for feeling guilty! I honestly have to stop writing about these cookies right now. It’s making me want one immediately and they’re not open! I just have to thank Connie McDonald and Pam Weekes, co-founders, for making me so happy. Oh, their coffee is great too. Ok I’m done.
