My first stop on a winery tasting tour in Long Island was Osprey’s Dominion Vineyard. I’m always interested in local goods, so when I saw these locally made candy bars, I couldn’t resist. The fact that they were stuffed with peanut butter and pretzels just sealed the deal. With all natural ingredients, no preservatives, no hydrogenated oil, these chocolate bars were pretty perfect. Started by a former TV producer, Peter Goldfarb, this Huntington, Long Island cookie and chocolate company has a mission to produce the best cookies and chocolate on the planet. Well, the chocolate bars I enjoyed were darn good. I tried the Milk Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup and the Dark Chocolate Pretzel Bar. WOW. The chocolate was so creamy and fresh! The peanut butter cups were so cute and little inside the bar and the PB was smooth and creamy. Huge chinks of pretzels in the dark chocolate were delicious and made for a perfectly sweet-salty crunch. I like how they created their own way of adding ingredients into their bars. With these mini PB cups and large chunks of pretzels, they’ve made something unique to their chocolate bar making. The PB cup bar was Gluten Free as well! They actually have a whole selection of Gluten Free and Non-Dairy sweets. Now, I’ve had their divine chocolate bars, but looking online, I can’t wait to try their famous cookies one day!
