A cake with a pie inside?!?!?
Could this be the dessert equivalent to the Thanksgiving Turducken? It’s a chocolate and vanilla layer cake with a pumpkin pie and apple pie baked in between the layers!!! Yes, in between!!! It’s called the Pummple and it comes from The Flying Monkey Patisserie in Philidelphia!! HOLY CAKE AND PIE!!! This is incredible! How appropriate that it’s created in the city of brotherly love! The baker that thought of this should win a prize…The Nobel “Piece” prize! HAHA! Ok, all corny jokes aside, this cake/pie incased in vanilla buttercream looks like something out of a dream! The Flying Monkey looks like they have some experience in cake flavor creations. Their signature cake is a Rooibos Cake which is a South African herbal tea-infused buttercake with a layer of raspberry and milk chocolate buttercream.
