Brownie and Blondie congratulate Top Chef: Just Desserts contestant Eric Wolitzky! Blondie and I have already enjoyed Eric’s Peanut Butter Crisp Bar at Royale Cafe in NYC and I was so excited when he won the bake sale challenge with it!  This bar is no joke.  It’s light and has the perfect amount of PB and chocolate layers. You can get them at his Brooklyn bakery Baked, Royale Cafe (which we previously featured), or any locations that sell Baked sweets.  Congrats Eric your bar deserved to win!

HI. Would you know if peanut butter is mixed in with the dark chocolate on the top of the bar as well as with the milk chocolate in middle of the bar or if the peanut butter is only in the middle with the milk chocolate and not on top with the dark chocolate? I’m asking because the recipe on bravo says the crispies are on bottom, the milk chocolate and nutella are in the middle (the nutella, of course, was used on the show to supplement some of the peanut butter, but probably isn’t in the bakery crip bar unless they changed the recipe or made a second version after the show), and the semisweet chocolate is on top. However, Elizabeth Falkner, the chef who demonstrates Just Desserts recipes on the Just Desserts page on hulu, makes this recipe with the cripies on bottom, milk chocolate, peanut butter, and nutella in middle, and semisweet chocolate on top. If you know which is the right version, would you please let me know? I would appreciate it so much. Thank you.

I meant to say that the bravo version has milk chocolate and nutella in the middle, with semisweet chocolate and peanut butter on top (while in hulu the peanut butter, nutella, and milk chocolate are in the middle, with only semisweet chocolate–without peanut butter mixed in–on top)–hence the confusion. Thanks.
