Do you see? It just depends what you are in the mood for! Crumb’s definitely wins for creativity and flavor options. If you want a candy topped, loaded and filled cupcake, it’s the spot. Today I got a peanut caramel cupcake. Vanilla cake, filled with vanilla buttercream and caramel, topped with more buttercream and crushed peanuts with a caramel drizzle. Did someone say Snicker’s Bar? They also have a Snicker’s cupcake, but honestly this cupcake tasted like SATISFACTION!!! The cake itself was moist and spongy so the crunch of peanuts was a wonderful contrast. The caramel inside was a darker, rich dulce de leche sauce rather than a thick sugary topping you might get on a sundae. One caution to cupcake lovers across the country…only buy Crumb’s from an actual Crumb’s Bake Shop. They are sold in deli’s, stores, etc as well, but are usually stale and not fresh!
