This past Saturday I went on a wine tasting tour of LI with friends. We went to three vineyards, had amazing wine and food/desserts, and came home feeling wonderful. While at Baiting Hollow Farm Vineyard (it houses a horse rescue farm that is partially funded by wine purchases), I spotted some amazing homemade brownies at the bar. When they said they had a dessert wine, I was sold with a brownie and a glass of the wine! The brownie was full of chocolate richness. Incredibly gooey, it was like fudge and almost seemed half baked. Just look at the pic of the inside of it! The top was covered in chocolate chunks that were smooth and fresh. The dessert wine was Cheval Bleu 2009. It is a highly concentrated flavor of strawberries, plums, and citrus. It was deliciously sweet and rich. It’s perfect by itself or accompanied with a dessert. I was very pleased with my choice and enjoyed every sugary bite! xoxoBrownie
