Baiting Hollow Farm Vineyard Part 2!

Well, if you read my post about the decadent brownie and dessert wine I enjoyed at this LI vineyard, you might be surprised when I tell you I tried even more sweets! When I saw these packaged candies, I couldn’t pass them up. I was a kid in a candy store when I saw Chocolate Covered Cookie Dough and “White Trash.” First of all, I’m a fan of cool names. Why not call a sugary mix “White Trash?” It just adds to the fun and joy of eating a dessert! The Chocolate Covered Cookie Dough was right up my alley. Small balls of cookie dough covered in milk chocolate is a combination any kid would die for (and I mean the kid inside us adults too). Everyone likes to eat cookie dough before it goes in the oven, and this is a cool way to do so. The “White Trash” was made up of peanut butter, cereal crisps, and lots of powdered sugar. This is a scrumptious snack I could not stop eating! I love PB and powdered sugar together, and eating that creamy combination with a little crunch was mouth watering. These are supplied at the vineyard by Nancy’s Candy Company in Meadows of Dan, VA. Nancy specializes in her famous fudge, but definitely does justice to the candy I devoured. You can order both of these treats online at www.nancyshomemadefudge.com.
