I thank all of the wonderful dessert lovers who frequent our site. Starting with iEatTreats. The owner, Kay, contacted us and let us know how much she enjoys our blog. She even brought these delicious mini cupcakes for me to try! It’s always nice to know fellow dessert lovers that appreciate quality sweets. iEatTreats is an online NYC dessert place. Let me tell you what’s special about this, you can order 6 pm to 4 am….that’s right all you late night folks! For myself, I know how hard it is to find quality desserts late at night, especially on the UWS. Yup, you fellow UWSiders know what I’m talking about. Kay definitely did and did something about it. iEatTreats is your place to go because they know how to do it right. I was lucky enough to try all five of these cupcakes: Red Velvet with Caramel icing, Lemon Cake with Strawberry icing, Lime Cake with Passionfruit icing, Vanilla with Vanilla, and Chocolate with Caramel icing. OOOMMMMGGGG. Can you believe these flavors?! First of all they were so fresh and moist. The icing is all French Buttercream so it doesn’t get crusty…just stays soft and creamy:-). The Red Velvet cake’s constistency was one of the best I’ve had. The caramel icing was a nice change from the standard cream cheese icing. It’s hard for me to change that standard but this combo worked. The Lemon Cake with Strawberry icing was my favorite! It tasted like Strawberry Shortcake, but more defined and powerful flavors. The Lime with Passionfruit was incredible. Such a strong and unique combination. Both the Strawberry and Passionfruit icings were wonderfully tart and full of flavor. The Vanilla Vanilla was so smooth. You could just taste the cream. The Chocolate with Caramel was rich and decadent. iEatTreats sure does know how to make a cupcake. Honestly, these are some of the best cupcakes I’ve had….and that says something cause I’ve had a lot of cupcakes;-). They deliver in the Columbia University area (right to your door!) and have an assortment of different sweets. They also cater during the day.
