Have you ever been walking down a street in the middle of the afternoon and everyone that is passing by is blissfully enjoying gelato?  It’s either in a cup with a little spoon and they are smiling as they take their bite.  Or you see them licking their lips after sweeping up the melting sides of their waffle cone.  You’re thinking…“WHERE IS EVERYONE GETTING THIS REFRESHING, DELICIOUS LOOKING GELATO!!!!  I WANT SOME TOO!  I want to have people admire me, skipping down the street with my cone making everyone jealous!”  Has this happened to you?  Or is it just me??  Well, I was enjoying a wonderful, warm Saturday afternoon in Nottting Hill, when one by one gelato owning, happy people kept passing me by.  I turned the corner and there it was.  GELATO MIO!  This is where everyone had gone.  This is where everyone was.  So what if it’s almost 5 o’clock and this will totally spoil my dinner, I want some G E L A T O!  After sampling almost every flavor, I ordered two scoops of Peanut Butter and Cioccolato in a waffle cone.  Cioccolato is a dark belgium chocolate flavor and mixed with the PB…I basically had a Reese Cup in a cone!  It was so creamy that as I licked around my scoops they began to intertwine and become one.  One spectacular flavor!  I love how gelato is served too.  They always have this metal spatula utensil that scoops it out, but then they stir it back and forth before painting it onto your cone or cup.  It’s like watching an artist mix their palate of colors before painting on their canvas.  It’s art.  Gelato is art.  So I walked out of the store, continuing on my way, beaming with delight!  My gelato; huge and sparkling in the sunlight, was the center of attention.  I was so proud!  xoxoBlondie
