The Cupcake Station has a wide variety of flavors, but for the Young Frankenstein cast, they had a contest to create our own cupcake! At the theater tonight were the mini versions of this cupcake and everyone in the cast and crew was beyond thrilled! I knew of this delicious bakery because my sister used to work there! She would call me to tell me about all the flavors and cupcakes she would frost! So, as soon as I got to Detroit I had to stop into the bakery! All of the cupcakes look amazing and they even have mini versions just in case you need a “smaller” sweet! The Young Frankenstein cupcake is a dark chocolate cake with strawberry jam filing. It has green colored buttercream icing covered in chocolate chips around the edges and a red scar detail. The cake was EXTREMELY moist and very rich! It had an excellent chocolate flavor. The jam inside was SOOO good! It was a little surprise that burst out when you bit into the cake. The chocolate chips around the frosting added such a great crunch against the smooth, sweet buttercream. I could have ate the whole box!!! I can’t wait to go back to the bakery and try their other flavors. Thank you Cupcake Station for our signature treat! xoxoBlondie
