5 Napkin Burger
After a fantastic dinner of burgers at 5 Napkin Burger, my husband and I decided to split the server’s dessert recommendation: the Espresso Brownie Sundae. Now, I was hesitant with the espresso since I like a good ‘ole plain brownie sundae, but I went with it after we were told they make their own caramel and add the espresso in to it. The sundae consisted of a brownie, vanilla bean ice cream, whipped cream, espresso caramel, and candied salted peanuts. What a pleasant surprise this was! It tasted like a Starbucks caramel frappuccino with a chunky brownie inside. The salted/candied peanuts were the perfect addition to the texture and overall taste. I can always use a bit more ice cream with everything, but this dessert was pretty equal in the brownie/ice cream ratio. All in all, it was a darn good sundae! Even though this place is known for it’s delicious and messy burgers, they have some tricks up their greasy sleeves in the sweets department!
