The best breakfast place on Earth has been found! I know, this is breakfast we’re talking about, but it’s dessert breakfast! Never in your wildest dreams could you imagine the brilliant concoctions this diner style eatery creates. On my trip to LA, where I was doing a show, I found some great West Coast sweets. I was very lucky to be introduced to The Griddle Cafe. It’s a loud and crowded atmosphere that usually includes a wait to be seated, but what I found was it is all worth it. Pancakes are enormous and mouth-watering in unique flavors. Actually, everything is huge portions. I don’t know who could finish the pancakes; not even Brownie and Blondie! Let me just zoom through the sweet breakfast treats!
“Banana Nana”- brown sugar-baked bananas in their buttermilk batter.
“Eyes Wide Open”- a shot of espresso and semi sweet chocolate chips in their buttermilk batter.
“Tis The Season”- their “Good Ol’ Fashioned” pancakes mixed with pumpkin fillling topped with whipped
cream, powdered sugar, and pumpkin filling.
“The Golden Ticket”- “Banana Nana” pancakes filled with caramel, walnuts, and streusel, then topped with
real whipped cream, caramel, and streusel! SO GOOD!
“Peanut Bubba” Crunchy French Toast- their “Mom’s Franch Toast” dipped in a peanut butter crunch (which is
crushed Nutter Butters), then grilled and topped with powdered sugar and whipped cream! MY FAVORITE DISH!
